LP General and Privacy Policies:
C.O.P.P.A. (Children's Online
Privacy Protection Act) Statement:
All persons under the age of 13 must have permission from their
parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before placing name, email address,
and/or other private information anywhere on this web site or
electronic mailing list. We adhere to the C.O.P.P.A guidelines. To

LP Submission Rules:
All information gathered from the LP submission forms (via
web site or snail-mail) poetry, articles, artwork, and/or short
stories) are submitted on a voluntary basis. This in return gives LP the right to
display this information within its site (profiles, artwork,
personal pictures, poetry, stories, etc). None of the information
gathered will be sold to a third party such as email addresses or
names, etc. We do our best to hide your email addresses on our site
so that spammers will not be able to pick up your addresses easily,
but with technology being what it is we cannot guarantee that your
information will not be gather by web-spiders, etc.
LP is not responsible for visitors to this site that obtain your
email addresses or names displayed within these pages. We are not
responsible for Spam or any other mail that you might receive as a
result of having your information displayed.
LP reserves the right to refuse submissions that are not in keeping
with our philosophy. If the work submitted has already been
published on another web site, please inform us so that we may link
to that site.
LP pages are for members of the sisterhood of
LiquidPlastic.net. If you know of anyone desiring to join, feel free
to invite them.
LiquidPlastic Members
Guidelines:
To be a LP member you must agree to the following:
- Members are expected to have Internet access
and check group e-mail or visit the LiquidPlastic.net forum and
or blog at
least once a week.
- Members need to understand that the goals of
LP are long-term. Inactive members create a burden. We expect
all members to actively pursue the goals and objectives of the
sisterhood.
- Members are expected to comply with the
standard guidelines of confidentiality.
- Members are representatives of LP and are
expected to present themselves in a sisterly manner. LP will not
tolerate disrespect and backbiting towards anyone, including
those who are not a member of LP's sisterhood.
LP Committees:
Each of the following committees will consist of a Chairperson and a
Vice-Chairperson, and other members who care to participate in the
duties of the committee.
A Blog will be set up for all committees at LiquidPlastic.net
as need dictates. These Blogs will not be open to
the general membership.
The Welcoming Committee:
To welcome someone means to “receive or accept gladly”, and this is
what the welcoming committee will do with each new member. In
addition the welcoming committee will ensure that all pertinent
information is received from each member and that the Member’s page
is set up.
The following information is required of each member:
- Name/Address/Telephone Number
- Business name and address if applicable
- Members Web site or Blog address and/or Logo
- Email address
- Brief Bio/A current photo
- Committee choices
The following information will be placed on each
Member’s page:
- First name
- Brief Bio/Current Photo if one
is available
- Committee Choice
- Links to Personal or Business Web Site and/or
Blog
- Email Address
The Mentoring Committee:
Sisterhood is about networking, and helping each other out if at all
possible. Therefore we must all become Mentors. A Mentor is defined
as “a wise and trusted counselor or teacher”, but we want to go one
step further. As sisters, we desire to help each other any way we
can as long as it does not cause any member any duress.
The following is different types of Mentoring:
- Business Support
- Non-Profit Organization
- Health/Grief Support
- Writing/Editing
- Family/Aging Issues
- Helping to Setup Web Sites or Blogs
- Others (we will add as we go)
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee is responsible for creating avenues
to bring the group’s efforts to the general public. This can be achieved by creating a newsletter that will highlight
LP’s efforts and successes, including promoting LP’s agenda. The
newsletter will be called LiquidPlastic.net
It is LP's
hope to start a “snail mail” monthly newsletter, which
will consist of interesting articles and a little poetry written by
the members of LiquidPlastic.net on a first come first serve basic,
where space allow. In addition we will use it to promote the
sisterhood, and the businesses or other ventures of the Membership.
The cost of a subscription to the newsletter will be $35.00 per
year. This will be used defray cost of producing and mailing the
newsletter. Rules and regulations governing the newsletter will be
posted at a later date.
LiquidPlastic.net Terms of Services (TOS):
I. Acceptance of Terms
LiquidPlastic.net (LP) provides its services as an independent
advocate for the sisterhood of all women. LP will also works towards
raising awareness of the plight of women, and their inhumane
treatment of society as a whole. These goals are all subject to the
Terms of Service (TOS), which may be updated by the founder of LP at
any time without notice.
II. Description of Service
LP currently provides users with access to interactive
Blog
(intended for educational purposes and/or personal enjoyment).
III. Your Membership Obligations To use LP’s services you are obligated to abide by the following:
a) Provide accurate registration/submission information b) Promptly updated registration/submission information
c) Maintain a high level of maturity and respect, and e) Refrain from any ethnical or racial stereotyping.
IV. LiquidPlastic.net Forum The LiquidPlastic.net Forum is open to members only. You may post
poetry, short stories, essays, and/or articles. You must cite the
author and/or website when posting information that is from another
source. You can also interact with other members. All members must
agree to adhere to LiquidPlastic.net TOS.
V. Member Conduct
Members are solely responsible for the information, photographs,
graphics, data, text, posts, messages or other content, that they
publicly post and/or privately transmit. This means that you are
entirely responsible for all content that you post, email, upload,
transmit or otherwise make available through LP’s publication or
website services. You must cite the author and/or website when
posting information that is from another source. You must also
understand that by using LP’s services, you may be exposed to
content that is considered offensive, indecent or objectionable.
Under no circumstances will LP be held liable in any manner for the
content, whether emailed, posted, transmitted, or otherwise made
available through LP’s publication or website services.
VI. Newsletter Mailing List
LP's newsletter will initially be published quarterly
(4 times per year), and will eventually be published monthly once
the project generates the funds to do so.
You agree to not use the Service to;
a) Post, upload, email, transmit or otherwise make available any
content that is vulgar, obscene, harmful, threatening, abusive,
harassing, defamatory, unlawful, invasive of another's privacy,
hateful, racist, or ethnically objectionable.
b) Impersonate any persons or entities, such as
other members, or LP staff.
c) Upload, email, post, transmit or otherwise make available any
content that you do not own the rights to.
d) Email, upload, post, transmit or make available any content that
infringes the patents, trademarks, or copyrights of such material.
e) Upload, post, email, transmit or make available any unsolicited
or unauthorized advertising such as promotional materials, junk
mail, or Spam.
f) Transmit, email, or make available any material that contains
software viruses, computer code, files, or programs designed to
interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any software
and/or hardware.
g) Interfere with or disrupt the services LP’s publications provide.
h) Slander or harass other members of LiquidPlastic.net, whether
publicly or privately. You agree that LiquidPlastic.net may:
a) Terminate your membership should you violate any TOS, written or
unwritten, without prior notification.
b) Without warning or reply, deny any submissions, posts, email,
files, or uploads that violate the TOS.
c) Deny publication in the
LP journal should you fail to meet
required deadlines or qualifications.
Depending on the severity of violation of LP’s TOS you may be:
1) Warned; 2) Warned a second time and placed on moderated status,
including the suspension of submissions/posts, or 3) A third
violation will result in termination of membership and/or services
of LiquidPlastic.net.
Suggestions & Feedback: All suggestions and comments are kept strictly confidential between
the submitter and LP. Your information will never be given out or
sold for any reason.
Copyright Infringement:
All members and contributors is subject to the following copyright
rules and regulations:
- All contributors to this web site is
responsible for obtaining a copyright from the US copyright
office for their material.
- If it is discovered that any contributors to
this web site has plagiarized another works, their membership
will be deleted without warning, and their names will be given
to the person they plagiarized.
- No member shall post others original works
without permission, and this permission must be sent via snail
mail to the address below. The only exception to this rule is
that the original author must email permission to
LiquidPlastic.net at
liquidplastic@aol.com.

permission from the owner, will be considered an infringement on our
copyright. Anyone doing so will be prosecuted to the fullest extent
of the law. However if you are a member with a website and need to
used this TOS in part, you may do so without permission.
