Sometime we get so caught up in losses, we fail to see the blessings right in front off our face.

So today, I am honoring my beloved friend, Maggie of Douglasville Georgia, she is my oldest and dearest friend. I honor her spirit, as she taught me to look beyond skin color.

Maggie is a military widow; the mother of five and she has a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  I met her online back in 1998.  We both share a love for poetry. We have traveled across the country together, and our favorite place is the Grand Canyon, where we traveled over five-thousand miles.

Maggie has wiped the tears out of my eyes more times than I can count. Please take a few minutes out of your busy day, and join me as I celebrate, not only our friendship, but her life!
