Domestic Violence; It's EVERYBODY'S Business.

"Domestic violence and emotional abuse are behaviors used by one person in a relationship to control the other. Partners may be married or not married; heterosexual, gay, or lesbian; living together, separated or dating."

I am not claiming to be an expert with years of what some call, "formal" education as it relates to Domestic Abuse. My knowledge comes from experiencing years of abuse in all areas of my life, including Domestic Violence. I was so programmed by the abuse I suffered throughout my life; the only thing I have been successful in is failure.

It's time that women rise above their petty dislikes of each other and rally to save our families. As long as we remain silent about the abuse we are suffering personally, in our homes, religions, and work places; we have no hopes for change. Therefore, having faith that everything will work out in other areas of our lives, as long as this abuse continues, is fruitless.

Because of the Internet, our voices are being heard; however just writing black words on a white screen is just the beginning. We must take the fight wherever it is necessary to save our lives. We must begin the fight the day our sons and daughters are born. We must fight with all our might to keep them from being programmed by the “good old boy system” of thinking, which is, women have no worth! It is this type of thinking that is at the root of all of our problems.

To destroy something, one must attack the root, no matter how close to home they may be.
